I’m a community organiser at heart. I host the kind of nights and days people are still talking about weeks later, and I’ve been doing it since I was a teenager.
A fixture on the calendar. Two sides, a lot of paint, and everyone’s welcome.
Cards, chips and a table full of people pretending they’re not bluffing.
From first file to finished print. Bring curiosity, leave with something you made.
Brackets, finals and bragging rights, run by someone who used to play for a living.
Watch parties for Norway’s matches, hosted while I was in New York and Boston. Flags out, voices gone.
If it gets people in a room and laughing, I’ve probably hosted it, or I’m about to.

– Jeg vil helst ha med alle slags folk fra alle slags land. Du er velkommen om du er 20 eller 60 år, sier Joakim Isaksen med et stort smil.
In English
“Joakim (19) wants more people to join the hobby: I’m paying for everything, except equipment and ammunition!”
“I’d love to have all kinds of people from all kinds of countries. You’re welcome whether you’re 20 or 60,” says Joakim Isaksen with a big smile.
At nineteen I wanted more people to fall for paintball, so I put on an event and covered everything except the gear and the paint. Plenty had signed up already. To fill the last spots, I headed into the city centre to invite people in person.

Paintballat Tomasjord · Sunday, 23 August
A company team, two sides, a lot of paint
and one question: who actually has a plan?
Hosted by Joakim Isaksen & Robin
Dress code: clothes you don’t love
One Sunday, 23 August, Robin and I put on a paintball day at Tomasjord for a company team. My job as host is simple: everyone plays, everyone laughs at least once, and nobody leaves without a story.
Paint was involved.
No spectators. The quiet ones are usually the most dangerous.
I’m competitive, not cruel. Winners may gloat. Briefly.
The best events are the ones people are still retelling on Monday.
Could be yours
Planning a day for your team? Tell me the crew and the budget. I’ll bring the plan.
